CAN I TRY AN E-READER AT THE LIBRARY?

YES!  The East Lake Community Library has Kindle Readers for you to try by checking them out with your library card.  We lend the readers on a first-come-first-served basis for two weeks at a time.  Our Kindles are loaded with many, many popular titles for your reading pleasure.  You can see what titles we have available here

HOW CAN I LOCATE EAST LAKE COMMUNITY LIBRARY'S E-BOOKS?

There are several formats for e-books that are available through the East Lake Community Library. 

The most popular location is available through our subsctiption database,  Overdrive
At this website you can checkout and download…
  • Adobe EPUB eBooks
  • Adobe PDF eBooks
  • OverDrive WMA Audiobooks
  • OverDrive MP3 Audiobooks
  • OverDrive Music
using your library card if you are a registered library user in Pinellas County. Overdrive will allow you to download books to many popular e-readers such as the Kindle or the Nook.  Here are more device-specific details about about how Overdrive coordinates with your e-reader.

We also provide access to digital versions of many books through our subscription database,  NetLibrary .  This means that you have access to an electronic version of a print book or journal that has been enhanced with features such as links from the Table of Contents, an embedded dictionary, full-text searching, and the ability to add notes.  Net Library is available to card holders who have pre-registered for the service at their local library.
